TumblrSampling

In September I am sharing an art show with Larry Golden and Ann Steurnagel at The WREN Gallery. I will be reproducing a new series of these TumblerSampling images. This time on 4"x4" Aluminimum. These will be in addition to the series of paintings, large and small, that I am working on at The Loading Dock. Many of the background panels you see in photographs of the space will be in this show and for sale. All the proceeds I make from selling art goes back into supporting The Loading Dock. Art can be commerce.

Interstellar Space

Saturday 5/20 prepare for a sonic portal into the outer reaches of your consciousness/soul (heh heh)

Ruckzuck is coming back to play at The Loading Dock, this time they have a brand new album, new glitter, more synths, more shiny objects, with this trio from PA more is definitely more! Their music reminds me a lot of early Kraut-rock sounds from the likes of Can but also Flaming Lips and most importantly a sound that only these three artists can make and that is why I am so happy they are coming back to play in Littleton.

Soul Juice is from my second favorite state, California! This will be uncharted territory for these guys, playing in the north country! The music has a loose jammy feel to it, very sunny and shimmery guitars and ever present tambourine even when there is no actual tambourine.

Rounding out the night is Floral Amoral. It's no surprise I'm heavily biased when it comes to this band, I play beep beep machines in the group. Lately as I have been more and more involved in running The Loading Dock and less time devoted to making music, Floral has blossomed into new directions. Andrew Hauprich is the unstoppable songwriter/mastermind behind this band. He has a host of new tunes that the guys have been shedding on, the direction is a more unabashed rock sound with a beating heart of deep deep songs propelled by drum and bass synchronicity of Carl Gifford and Asher Salomon. The songs will get stuck in your head. Unlike other earworm tunes, you won't mind these ones, at least I don't.

March roared in at The Loading Dock. We hosted and presented music from Time Out Timmy, Mad Cat Habitat, Sojii, Ape Not Kill Ape, and Floral Amoral. Comedy night was a big success, we are looking forward to making it a regular thing. Lots of good events coming up this summer, keep an eye out for our events on facebook and posters going up around the towns.

Legitness. We are now a place of assembly for up to 75 people!

The Time Out Timmy / Sheckies show was super fun and really a great return to our roots supporting the north country punk scene. Timmy is off to SXSW, wish him luck, follow those guys on instafacewhatever, looks like they are having fun!

Get tickets for Mad Cat Habitat ahead of time.

Art on loan

My stuff stacked

My stuff stacked

Here's the issue that probably most artists have... You make stuff, it doesn't sell, you keep it around... It stacks up.

introducing Art on Loan.

The idea is that you can select any of my art for a specific amount of time. You get something to put on your wall, office, dorm room, whatever and I get the satisfaction knowing that my stuff is up somewhere and not stacked in a dusty corner of the loading dock. In the next day or two I will create a product page that will handle the transaction.

Does anyone have any opinions about price point per month?

By the way, did you know if I sell any art or make money from playing music, that money goes right back into sustaining The Loading Dock!
